Our main raw material is clay, an abundant natural resource extracted locally from the earth.

Despite being a natural resource, it is a material of great strength and durability.

Areias Studio works with national stoneware and earthenware. Due to their compositions, they can be stored and reused as many times as necessary before undergoing the first firing.

The glazes  produce a very organic and natural result. It does not contain toxic heavy metals in its composition.

After glazing, the pieces are subjected to high-temperature firing, and during this process, various reactions characteristic of each type of glass occur. In each piece, the reaction differs, making each piece unique.

Thanks to our location in the Porto de Mós municipality, a region known for industries, we have access to various local suppliers of raw materials.

We strive for our packaging to be eco-friendly and certified, and we encourage it to be reused or recycled once it reaches our customers' hands.
